Stroud Target 2050 Homes

This report describes the Target 2050 domestic strand, and is part of a set of publications covering the different sectors, each illustrated by real-life case studies.

Severn Wye Energy Agency were commissioned by Stroud District Council to design and deliver a new programme of work to tackle climate change in 2007.

The resulting Stroud Target 2050 was designed to complement national programmes and to stimulate step change.

Target 2050 Homes has provided the basis for an effective, long-term targeted approach to achieving deep energy and carbon cuts in existing homes in the UK.

This report describes the Target 2050 community buildings strand, and is part of a set of reports covering the different sectors, each illustrated by real-life case studies.

Stroud District Council commissioned Severn Wye Energy Agency to design and deliver a new programme of work to tackle climate change in 2007.

The Target 2050 Community Buildings project demonstrated that the provision of bespoke and expert advice, coupled with capital funding, can kick start community buildings in to action and enable important improvements to be made quickly.

This report describes the Target 2050 business strand and is part of a set of reports covering the different sectors, each illustrated by real-life case studies.

In 2007 Stroud District Council commissioned Severn Wye Energy Agency to design and deliver a new programme of work to tackle climate change, which was designed to complement national programmes and to stimulate step change.

The target group was SMEs with energy spends up to £50,000 identifying ways to reduce energy consumption.

Countdown to Low Carbon Homes

The Countdown to Low Carbon Homes project (2012-14) was set up to research, develop and communicate an integrated practical delivery approach to community scale retrofit of energy improvements to buildings, with a particular focus on homes and delivery by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

By exploring the whole 'retrofit journey' from planning stage to implementation and post installation energy use, the Countdown to Low Carbon Homes project aimed to find ways to make domestic retrofit easier and more mainstream, in ways that benefit local businesses.

The European Sustainable Energy Award (E-seaP)

This publication provides an overview of how the E-seaP pilot worked to support 17 prisons across Europe.

The European Sustainable Energy Award (E-seaP) is an award scheme developed by Severn Wye and a consortium of partners from across Europe. Through a carefully compiled set of resources it aims to support, enhance and recognise prisons for all their efforts to establish an ethos and practice of energy sustainability.
